Engine 1404, purchased in 2002, is a 2003 Pierce Contender fire apparatus mounted on a Kenworth T-300 commercial chassis. Purchase of this truck was made possible by the Ross County Community Block Grant. This engine replace an older model Ford that was taken out of service due to numerous problems and became our front line engine moving ahead of a 1972 Sutphen engine in order of response for structure fires. This engine was a much needed addition to the Harrison Township Fire Department. It is the result of lots of hard work and dedication put forth by the membership.
